Calm the F#@K Down! is the perfect event for anyone who feels overwhelmed by life or stress. Stress affects us all but ultimately ongoing, unrelenting stress is non-sustainable; something mentally or physically eventually has to give.
This special evening hosted by Ruby Lane and presented by best selling author & keynote speaker Matthew Johnstone with Nutritionist, Naturopath and Author Belinda Kirkpatrick; will inspire you with some great tools, tips and recipes in bringing some calm back into your lives.
Get to know Matthew Johnstone
A compelling speaker, Matthew captivates audiences with his warmth, creativity and wit. Highly motivational, Matthew shares his story driving message of resilience, happiness and well-being.
Matthew Johnstone has combined his own experience living with depression and his creative background in advertising. He has written and illustrated a series of very simple books, four of which have been bestsellers in Australia and the UK. His most well known ‘I Had a Black Dog’ became the basis of a World Health Organisation campaign about depression. His third book, The Alphabet of the Human Heart -The illustrated A to Z on what it is to be human, made number 4 for UK book sales in January 2011 and went to #9 on the Sunday Times Bestseller List.
And finally, his latest book ‘StressLess’, co-authored by clinical psychologist Dr Michael Player, centres on resilience and his talk will mainly be based upon it.
Get to know Belinda Kirkpatrick
Belinda Kirkpatrick is an expert naturopath and nutritionist, who specialises in women’s health and is especially passionate about hormonal health, fertility management and miscarriage prevention. Belinda is known for her extensive knowledge of natural and conventional treatment in addition to her evidence-based approach to integrative healthcare.
In conjunction with Ainsley Johnstone, a recipe creator, food stylist and photographer, Belinda recently published a thrilling book called Healthy Hormones, which she will present on the night.
In this book, Belinda Kirkpatrick helps women to understand their hormones and provides easy ways to manage symptoms, hormonal conditions and fertility through diet and lifestyle to make them feel their best.
Expert nutritional advice and lifestyle tips are combined with answers to the many questions that women have asked Belinda during a decade of clinical practice. Ever wanted to know how to feel your best and balance your hormones naturally? Well we’ve got just the thing for you! Join us for a special afternoon devoted specifically to getting in touch with your hormones!
We’ll kick off with a talk from naturopath, nutritionist and now author of ‘Healthy Hormones – A practical guide to balancing your hormones’, Belinda Kirkpatrick – Naturopath! She’ll talk all things hormones and answer any questions you’re just dying to know.
This chat will then be followed by a body nourishing yin yoga class held by the beautiful Susan Cass, who’ll take you through a practice to leave your body feeling oh so zen!
We’ll top it all off with some nibbles and chats with your fellow BUF Girls crew.
