Vitamin C Improves Sperm Quality

A 2015 study published in the International Brazilian Journal of Urology, showed that vitamin C was able to improve sperm quality. In the study, vitamin C was given at low doses after variocele surgery – a variocele is a varicose vein wrapped around the testicles which can heat and damage sperm and contribute to sub fertility.

Results showed that giving just 250mg of vitamin C twice daily for three months after the procedure significantly improved sperm motility and morphology. These parameters are an essential part of sperm health and contribute to positive fertility outcomes.
